We're so excited that you've chosen to participate in our Oak Hill Digital Learning Day Challenge this week. We hope to teach you lots of techie stuff and we also hope to learn from you when you post your comments.
We wanted to start out our week by talking about digital gadgets. They are everywhere you look! They come in all shapes and sizes, too. We think it's so cool that you can get online and do research from your smartphone!
Our school has Dell Computers in our computer lab, so those are the ones we use at school. Our PTA, who is made up of our Oak Hill families, worked extremely hard and we will soon be getting a set of 30 iPads for our school! We are so excited to get our hands on them! We're so thankful for our wonderful parents and families for seeing our need for technology.
We wanted to tell you about our favorite techie gadgets:
Christina -my favorite divice is my netbook because it is so helpful for doing things.
Kara - I love my iPad! I use it for fun, for help, and for contacting others from Skype, facetime, and email.
Kate - My favorite digital device is an iPod. It has many apps I can use for learning and making videos. There are cool games to play too. I love all the music and listen to it a lot. I want to make my own app someday.
Matthew - My favorite digital device is my laptop. I use it for doing my website and many other things.
Shoel - I always like to use anything Apple. I usually use my laptop or my phone. But mostly anything tech is super awesome.
Sophie - I love using my iPod Touch because I can play fun games and I can FaceTime my Friends.
Tanner - My favorite device is my laptop because I can play games and use neat tools.
Sydney - My favorite device is my iPod because I can use it for games and talking to my friends.
Ms. Beard - I love my MacBook Pro! It is my favorite digital device I own. I also have an iPhone and I love it, too! My MacBook Pro allows me to make really cool videos using iPhoto, iDVD, and iTunes. I've been a Mac fan for many, many years. I'm also a big fan of Steve Jobs; I believe his life can teach us so much about working hard and following your dreams.

My Kindle Fire is my favorite digital tool. I use it to view Ms.Beard's website,play games, and watch videos.I have 5 digital gadgets in my home.I use the computers in the computer lab at school and the computers in our classroom.

ReplyDeleteThe digital gadgets I use are computers, phones, iPods, and iPads. Yes, but I only use like 1 of them at school. I have about 10 digital gadgets at my house. The digital gadgets I have I use them for searching the web. I also play games and use them for help on my homework on most of my digital gadgets.

ReplyDeleteI use my I-pad and apple computer and also my I-phone 4.These are the things I play and enjoy. I play minecraft and skylander giants but mostly minecaft.Minecraft is great place were you build blocks (at daytime) and fight zombies (at night time) that is the is the fun part!This is what you do on Skylander Giants you fight drow archers and chompies and a lot more people.Oh and I almost forgot Poptropica -.Poptropica is where you go and past different islands its very fun!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gadget at home is my Kindle Fire. I love to read, and it has opened a whole new world for me. Plus, it has lots of cool apps!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite gadget has to be my iPhone. I use it just about everywhere. I use it in my classroom everyday because I have an app that helps me keep track of my classroom points that students earn. I also like to put up the weather forecast sometimes. I use it to keep up on my email as well. When I am at home I love to use my MacBook Pro. It is fast and has everything I need. I also enjoy talking to my sister who is a sophmore at Purdue on Facetime.

DeleteI love my iPhone, my Xperia tablet, my Kindle Fire and my iPad. I can't imagine what I did before I had my gadgets. Learning is so easy now!

I use ipods, iphones and andoried ect. yes some of the stuff i do use ant home and at work. we have 13 digital devises. we do everything with ares it helps us out a lot

I have several gadgets at home: iPad, Nook, computer, my parents' iPhones, and Xbox. I use them at home for playing games, watching videos and educational apps. I use the computers at school for learning.

ReplyDeleteI'm trying out a Google Chromebook right now. It boots up really fast and can do just about everything my laptop can. It runs almost all of it's applications from the internet. Wondering if it would be a good device for EVSC students. I like my ipad, but I still need a keyboard for some of my work. What do you guys think about that! Do you need a keyboard? Can you do everything you want from an Ipad or tablet??
I love my Kindle Fire. I use it to check email, play games, and get on school websites. At my house there are 6 digital divices.I also use my computer to gert on school websites and games, just like on school computers. Except no games on school computer.
